Haier Pakistan is the leading sponsor of Peshawar Zalmi for PSL and being a high-volume marketing brand, leveraging the passion of PSL with the brand was the challenge. To come up with unique, engaging content and communication where all kinds of brands are involved and competing, the toughest thing was to get maximum engagement with Zalmi players, due to tight schedules and security challenges. Staying relevant and true to the brand essence was also one of the major challenges during the PSL campaign.

Strategy

As the lead sponsor of Peshawar Zalmi for the fifth consecutive year, Haier Pakistan posted content featuring #HaierXZalmi in PSL 7 and generated significant engagements. It leveraged sports marketing strategy to promote several TV products, including LED TV 43’ and S5 series TV. The brand established engagement through diverse content which got posted on all social media, which created greater reach, and virality.

By serving 6,112,644 impressions and 1,743,586 video views we managed to achieve great mileage. The Tom Kohler-Cadmore video on Facebook got us 140K+ engagement and 1.8M reach during the PSL campaign.
